peterp63 It has a counter balance on the motor. It actually vibrates and shakes the bran and corn out. It was working great until those little arses tore it up . New lid from OnTime Feeders was $12.00 + shipping

Thanks, that looks like a cool idea for using rice bran. Would be great if they made a metal version.

I watched and read some reviews and many folks experienced the bran caking after rains or humid weather. Have you had any issues with this?

I've never had it cake up to where it wouldn't come out. I add a little corn to it.

I only run it when I am there. I bang on the side just to check it
