But more important.. The pension and 401K will set the family up for the future.

how old are you?? I feel like I was the perfect age to leave. In fact my age was one of the things that got me the job.. I went into lineman school at 34 and Im 35 now.. I have heard of guys as old as 45 going through lineman school tho.. That said I was definitely out of 80 guys one of the oldest lol

Congrats ! Oilfield most of my life, and you just had to remember the “up” times, because the “down times” could really suck. You are bettering yourself !

The oilfield treated me very well.. I cant complain.. But what I topped out at in the oil field during the boom will be well within reach in a few years.. Add that with the benefits of the electrical industry and it was a no brainer.. I am very grateful that I am getting a new start that is for sure..

Great move. I have a hard time finding lineman to hire. They are starting to write their own ticket. Demand for good experienced hands is way up.

Congratulations on the new career! There will be room for advancement and opportunities to move forward in the electrical field.
