Hey midlo - I sent that pic to a guy I know in Cisco who does work for all those high fence guys around there. His response:

“Shoot it. There have been several wandering around the area for the last 2-3 years. Last Spring I hauled 3 of them to the sale barn for a rancher who managed to pen them on his place. Game Warden said you can shoot em’ if they’re on your property”

^ X2 I didn't see a tag in the ear. As long as there is not conspicuous tag you can take any exotic.

Not necessary. Unless I missed it there's no ear tag or any other conspicuous tag/brand.

Based on all my years of playing Oregon Trail, i can confirm that that is indeed a buffalo!
