End the morning hunt getting skunked. Temps will be in the low to mid 70s today and wind gust to around 40. Great Hunting Weather said no one ever...
Oh well, 2 hunts left and a pocket full of tags. Who has a good recipe for tag soup?? Hope I don't end up needing that recipe...

Well with only 1 set up on the Linn County property I am playing the wind and hunting Franklin County.
Wind is perfect for this stand
2 hunts left and still a pocket full of tags. Gotta make something happen..

Well that's gonna wrap up today adventure. Never thought I would need shorts to hunt in Kansas in November. Craziness
That means I am down to one hunt. Buck or doe will do. Both would be awesome, but I don't want to be greedy. Back to Linn County in the morning. Front is pushing in tomorrow morning so maybe they be moving.

And then there was ONE. One Hunt that is. This morning is my last chance to fill a tag. This morning is the 6th day of hunting and I gotta make it count. Pocket is still full of tags and the cooler is empty. About to head out on my 45 min drive and 30 min walk in to my Linn County set up. Weather is decent with a little front pushing in this morning. Going to have a light wind thats shifting to the NNW at less than 10 mph.

Saw a monster in the 10 acre hay field on the west side of this property. He was with a doe. Make my day seeing him. That is the 3rd shooter I have seen here on this little 40 acre property.
On stand and situated. A little cooler this morning. Wind has shifted to the NNW but is minimal. Hope they are moving today.
