Got Turkey Buzzards and American Black Vultures flying all over the town of Boerne and surrounding hills out the wazoo last few weeks. Lotta road kill with the whitetail rut ongoing around here as well as the usual roadkill Axis and gut piles from recent hunts. The towers are full of nightly vultures of both species.

Ringtails are also pretty active this year.....spotted one with the mang the other day....trying to open a door into an industrial warehouse at night. Freaky scene visually.....Chupacabra level freaky.

Watched a few massive migrations of both species 3-4 weeks ago, circling several hundred feet apart vertically - following thermals south to here.

Turtles are like buzzards of the river and they dont migrate.

      Flies migrate...to dead critters.

Good question Bownut and responses Yall.

A few years ago, saw 5-600 of them hanging around my pond in East Tx...was quite the sight.

            Winter Is Coming

i had no idea buzzards migrated. but now that you mention it we had three gut piles and multiple dead hogs and never saw one. they are normally all over them this time of year. Lavaca County, same camp, same property, same time of year we always kill deer and hogs and nothing.

            it is rather strange.

We still have a ton on our place. I did see something I've never seen before a couple weeks ago. I saw at least 80 buzzards (I started counting late) flying together all heading south. I've never seen that many flying together in a goup.

They are all roosting on my powerlines in Rocksprings. There must be at least 50 every night.

They moved here. They're all sh*#in on my bench by the pond.

Eastern Bell County. A lot still here but I have seen several large groups, 25+ birds heading South!
