I use a little Lasco oscillating ceramic heater with a thermostat and remote. I keep the ducted ac fan on low so it distributes heat throughout the trailer. The main furnace will get it warm in there in a hurry, but I don't like using it beyond that.

I just learned I need to replace our thermostat, because that thing suuuuucks!

One issue to consider, these type devices ARE NOT to be used if you have aluminum wiring.

      Just a heads up.

We're on our 2nd set of these electric space heaters:
        PELONIS-1500-Watt-Electric-Space-Heater

These specific ones are unavailable now, but we like that it has a digital thermostat, oscillation, and tip-over protection. We use two of these in our 31' motorhome and they work well enough that our main propane heater doesn't come on unless the temps are really low (20's).

Dale, not sure what system you have but I put a Coleman-Mach digital in ours and it is pretty accurate in that goes to the temp that it shows to be set at. How accurate it is to the actual temp, I don't know but I know it is comfortable in the temperature range we normally use at home.

That's what I'm looking for, our analog Coleman Mach is awful and I can't find any rhyme or reason to it. It's about to get round filed.

I don't do the oil filled heaters because of all those sharp edges....the kids we camp with can get pretty rowdy when bad weather coops them up in the camper, and it's usually mine.

Curious..I have one oil filled heater that we use occasionally. What I don't know is-do they have a tip over shut off? Had a fire at work one day and one of these was laying in the living room floor, tipped over, and was where that fire started.
I've always used the ceramic heater(wood box lookin one) with the blower in our camper and just let it cycle. Does just fine and no tripped breakers so far. Only use the furnace for the initial warm up.
