Or quite a bit forward and lower, not sure why you’d expect different results shooting him in the same spot. It’s obviously to far back.

Wow! I might have missed it but what broadhead were you shooting? I didn’t say it but I thought little high but still got both lungs and he’s dead. Thanks for posting, I’ve been doing this for almost 40 years and you just never know for sure.

I agree I would shoot that spot over and over again.... as a matter of fact I always do shoot at that spot. I have never (in countless deer) shot for the heart or anywhere near the front leg.

That shot is about 6 inches high, and 8 inches far back from the deadly V, so not surprising he’s still walking.

All that looks lethal to me.
That buck is certainly the exception.
                  Thanks for sharing.

No man's land. Shot one same place about 10 years ago at Laguna. Unrecovered. You've got to let him walk now. I think he should get a life-long pass. Let him breed.

Did you wound him and then see him again and not shoot him?

That is flat out amazing. Two weeks ago I shot a very mature 8. Exactly in the crease and stopped in a broken off side ahoulder. Dashed away with fletching sticking perfect. I never found that deer and I can guarantee he is not within 400yds . Nat bvb e he xss will show up again.

Unreal. I would have never guessed. The buck I shot and the one my son shot with Trypans ended up leaving four inch holes in our deer. Sliced them wide open. Pics can be deceiving and the deer you shot may have closed up already. Do either one of his sides look like the broadhead opened up completely upon hitting the deer? Just curious and it may be hard to tell at this point.

I shot him again in almost the same spot.

Man that is insane. I shot a buck in 2015 in that spot with a Rage extreme and he went 400-450 yards before I found him.
