I am pretty sure this is one of the bucks that I saw yesterday. This buck lives on our farm from late winter thru early fall and then makes a move. He knows our farm inside and out. If it was this buck I have only seen him twice in two years. October 23, 2019 and yesterday.

Got a doc that has the cafe make him a sandwich that we call by his name and that is how we order it when we want one
Over medium egg, 3 strips of bacon, slice of tomato, mayo with a splash of Frank's hot sauce on wheat toast
I have one every once in a while for breakfast and it is good
Get back in that tree early, one of those big boys may wander by

After an insanely windy eveving yesterday it has dawned cold, clear and calm this morning.
Well... The doe decoy works.[emoji106]
Another real pretty split G2 buck. Actually bigger than the one I killed. 20 yards at the decoy. He came out this timber strip with his nose into the NNW wind and spotted the decoy when he got into the bean field.
I am not shooting another one unless it's much bigger that what I have tagged. I am still excited about seeing the XXL buck day before yesterday.
This buck will be a beast in a couple of years. I got an ice chest ful of meat on ice from last week's buck that I have got to process tomorrow.
This is the kind of stuff I love.....even more than killing them.
Fun and exciting.[emoji106]

I love using a doe decoy during the rut. I’ve killed two bucks using one and one of them I pulled away from a doe that was locked down for two days. Jumped that buck and doe twice in two days in the same spot. Snuck in the next morning with a doe decoy and he came by for a quick peak as the doe he followed bounded across the creek.
Hopefully that buck will forget that time he saw your decoy and will return next year for you!

I love seeing a decoy work. I stopped using them because I was getting a lot of deer spooked, but I think it was because they were not in the open. The deer would come through the woods and be surprised when they came up on them. I should bring them back out. Even does will be curious enough to come by.
