So we shouldn’t show ANYTHING on any platform that requires the viewer to have minimum levels of critical thinking skills?
That is a ridiculously dumb argument.

My response was to tfrye who was against the video, but for some reason it didn't quote him. I support the right to show it and think YT should stop being so ridiculous... especially if this video would save lives.
You don't have to click on the video if you don't want to.
That is the problem.
YouTube doesn’t have to show your video if they don’t want to either. Not saying I agree with their choice to take it down, BUT it is exactly that. THEIR choice. Their house, their rules. However dumb those rules may be.
I've seen these infant survival swimming videos. I think it's really neat and good what such a young child can be taught.
But my wife, can't watch them. She finds them disturbing.
So, she doesn't click on them, not report them.

It was hard to watch my son at first until he started to progress. We paid a lot of attention to the instruction and did our research. My son will be 6 next month. He "graduated" years ago. Although he could not "swim" I knew he could save himself if he fell into a pool. Obviously nothing beats keeping an eye out. Part of the layers of protection. My wife is involved with multiple non-profit water safety people around the nation. Unfortunately most of these non-profits start and named after a drowning victim (child).
Haven’t y’all seen what’s been going on in the US for that last four months! And you seemed surprised Facebook removed a video that could offend someone. It seems par for the course to me!
First I’ve heard of these. Care to elaborate a bit?

Both of these sites are owned by and have big conservative investors that are competing with Twitter and Youtube to offer a fully open platform that respects the first amendment and does not discriminate or sensor based on political affilation, race, sex gender etc..

This argument is bull schist. Either they are a private platform, or they are a news organization. Editorializing makes them news.
What ever happened to the terms "tough sh**", "who cares", "mind your own business", "**** off", "get out of here"?
And most of all, what happened to "tough love". Too many whiny liberals have cried loud enough and long enough that everyone is walking on egg shells instead of just telling them how the cow ate the cabbage and moving on.
I am kind of glad I did not have a daughter. I honestly do not know how I would handle a boy coming to the house to take her out. I know how I am and the gauntlet of questions I endured. And those men weren't mean. I would be however. And in today's time, I would probably be jailed for "hurting someone's feelings".
