          It's incredible in VR.

          I'm half convinced I could reasonably pilot a A-10C

Have you flown actual planes or just done these simulators? Man technology has come a long way

Have only ever been cargo in Huey and Blackhawks. Was always my dream as a kid to fly.

This is a close as I'll get at this point.

The addition of VR (and a well tuned PC setup) are simply mind blowing. The sim looks amazing enough in 2D (monitor), but it can't come close to the realism of VR.

Eagle Dynamics models literally everything in their sims, particularly the high fidelity aircraft. Everything switch, button or dial in the sim is operable and mimics it's real life counter part.

Their latest vid showing off their switch to volumetric clouds coming this year.

US Air Force using DCS to train A-10 piolts.

B-roll from the 355th Training Squadron at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base implementing a new A-10 Thunderbolt II virtual reality simulator lab. This cost effective implementation was purchased with squadron innovation funds in order to give A-10 pilots a more efficient and accessible way to train and earn qualifications.

I played USNF97 for hours on end back in the day. Not as much sim as game, but still miss it sometimes
