The Mrs and I went on some of our first dates on a lease in LLano back in 87' and 88'. Back then we said someday we want to buy a place and live up there. Fast forward 32 plus years and we finally closed last week. Been looking hard for 2 years, not as much land as I would like but the prices kept me in check. Did my research and found out I am surrounded by a lot of land that is only hunted by family and in one case is not hunted at all. Our 77 acres is just right for bowhunting for me and the wife and daughter. There is 615 acres on my east, 945 acres north, 825 acres west and 220 south. All low fence. I saw one high fence over 5 miles away. My pond is the only pond within a quarter mile and has never ran dry. Went up this past weekend and put up feeders and cameras and already seeing a lot of deer. Well and electricity are in place and ready for the new build. Gonna move there hopefully next summer.
