I don’t recall having ever eaten elk before.

Adam and I are both meat-first hunters. I like hunting big bulls, but if a little one - or a cow - gets in the way, I won’t pass on it! We have a camp full of hunters today that are wanting to join Team Ice Chest!

you will not regret it. Elk meat is excellent. Try some sirloin cooked and sliced medium rare for fajitas. You will never think the same about beef.
