What is this and what is it used for? This one and one more showed up a few houses down attached to a pole.

Car counter maybe? Doing a study for that street? I know dot lays one out on the highway out here every once in a while. But those usually are a hose or wore of some sort

Don't know what it is. If you have any meth heads within 50 miles it will be gone by the morning. They can't resist anything chained to a pole.

We use similar instruments to monitor aircraft noise levels at work, but they're usually mounted at the top of a pole like that.
