Unsrew the 2 jets on the bottom of the carb after u take the bowl off. Clean out all the lil holes u see and just screw then back in. Its pretty simple
I know some disagree but when I finish with my hurricane generators at the end of the season I cut the fuel off and let it run until all the fuel is burned up. If there is much gas in the tank I’ll drain it and use it in mower. Put new gas in at the beginning of the summer with seafoam, seems to work.
I keep a couple of race jugs of non-oxygenated fuel around and that’s all I run in small engines, boats, old cars, motorcycles. If it’s an issue finding it, look for race gas or even 100 low lead at a smal airport FBO. For the extra dollar a gallon or so, it’s worth it. Also, stabil, sea foam, anything. Ethanol can also dissolve some diaphragms, fuel lines and gaskets. If you run a lot of side by sides and marine stuff, look into buying VP fuel by the drum. Ethanol gas absorbs water and it has a shelf life just slightly longer than milk.
If it has a carburetor I would only burn ethanol free in it. Even with a fuel stabilizer additive the ethanol is a killer! [emoji35]
ck a gallon
If payin that extra Buck a gallon...you can use that crappy stuff ...then when you through run empty..then put a few gallons of EF gas in and run 15 or 20 minutes and wala its flushed the crap out and you can just kill it and let it sit...or I always cut off fuel and let it run tell it dies then store..
Gota agree that Ethanol is Killer... Since I started use EF straight or the above way Its been a couple /3 years since I had a carb problem and before it was problem and carb clean 3 -5 times a year in various things.
