      F-250. We use them a lot in the oilfield and I think they are great.

        Sounds like you your having a hard time justifying it. If you really don't need it don't see why. But if you feel you just got to have it, do. Don't need anyone's permission.

          I'd say it's your hard-earned money, so spend it on whatever makes you happy.

          With that said, the OP doesn't "need" an F-250 diesel as obviously pulling a 20' bay boat or a 12' trailer can easily be done with a 1/2 ton pickup. If you want it, buy it. In reality, that just puts you in a class with probably 70% of the current owners of F-250 diesel pick-up trucks who don't really "need" them either. I can't tell you how many of those concrete crawlers I see in Houston everyday...some even lifted too high to economically pull a heavy load. I got no beef with that. I just laugh when some of those folks claim they really need it.

            You will NOT regret getting that 6.7 power stroke. I have a 2018. That is one hell of a truck.
