Good evening:
My son and I just learned we are losing our archery lease because the landowner has decided to clear the land to sell the property. To add insult to injury, I was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer (Stage 3). I was really looking forward to being able to hunt with my son this deer season, if my health allows it. I know it’s a long shot, but I would really like to find a hunting lease for my son so he can have a healthy outlet to decompress as we deal with my illness.
Because of my son’s strange work schedule, and also because he is trying to stay close to home to help me through my illness, we are trying to find a lease as close to the Austin, TX area as possible. Either gun or bow is fine. We’d like to be able to hunt whitetail deer, hogs, and turkey if possible. A bit of information about us: I’m a disabled veteran (US Army) and an experienced hunter. My son is 22 yrs. old and works full time. He is a very experienced hunter and avid outdoorsman. We are both TBH members. We both consider ourselves as stewards of outdoor resources, and we strive to treat the landowner’s property as the landowner has outlined for us.
Any help, advice or leads would be very greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Dave
