      Heck no. 11 people and 24 horses and pack animals...too much smell and noise for bears unless a rogue bear looking for trouble. I slept better on that river in the open than I could ever sleep in a fancy hotel in a big city.

        You are my hero! What does a trip like that run? I looked up a Smith River trip for 4 nights snd 5 days and it was $4800 per person.

              I think it was $315/day/person. It wasn’t cheap but well worth it.

                  This is awesome.
                  My 65 year old FIL did the 40 mile ride to see the Chinese Wall in the Bob Marshall back in early July. Said it was an amazing trip and wants to do a longer trip.

                                Looks like a lot of fun. The pictures make me want to move up there even more. Very beautiful country. Looks like a perfect fly fishing river. I don't think I would have left.
