Feed Store, grocery sacker, waitresses, Doordash, Uber, cashier at takeout, valet, hunting guides, fishing guides, hotel maids, barber, etc.... even took a $20 bill out to my garbage man about a month ago. I tip them all, on most every occasion. I like it and they like it and when both people walk away happy from any interaction, it's a good deal. Most don't ever expect it and I like to see people happy. Not enough happy people in the world.

"Helped" made me think of the old cowboy saying "when you showed up to help, it was like three good men left"

Dang that's funny and accurate. Wish I had known that line earlier in life.

It is appreciated. I usually don't help load so we keep count easier. Will help if needed ,but would still tip. To a person everyone that I tipped ,has said you don't have to do that. I said I know, but I appreciate the work. After a few times though, the guys remember you & get you done & out quick if you want.
This has always been my understanding. I've never tipped, nor seen anyone tip at a feed store.

Same here. Go to the feed store at least once a week, sometimes more. Never heard of or seen anyone tipping.
Texted my son, who worked at the Springtown feed store for five years or more, and he said that he hauled and stacked hay, unloaded feed from trailers, delivered feed and hay by the ton and loaded out pickups and flatbed trailers and never got a tip except a game ranch he delivered to did let him come cull out a doe every year.
I guess farmers and ranchers ain’t got the time and or money for that.

I worked at a feed store in high school. Mayer's Grocery and Feed. $3.50/hr. This was 88-90. I got tipped all the time though. Certainly not by everyone, but it wasn't unusual to get handed a couple of bucks for loading feed sacks or hay.

Then there was the old man that showed up once a month to buy a few tons and it all got hand loaded. He'd give you lots of tips....on how to stack feed sacks, how to carry feed sacks, how to throw hay, etc. He was a grouchy old bastage too.

I worked at a feed store while in college. There were a couple of customers that always tipped us a couple dollars. I always told them that it wasn’t necessary, but they’d insist. Always tell me to go buy a soda at lunch, and I always appreciated the gesture. There was one customer that we delivered a few tons of feed at a time to his barn, and stack it in his feed room. He was only there on the weekends, so if he ordered feed he’d always leave us a good tip for stacking the feed the way he wanted.

That old man must have made his rounds, he was over here biching. I hated loading feed in cars and station wagons too, seemed like they was always a pizzed off chihuahua hiding in the back seat.

The best tipper was a farmer that liked to drink beer. He would hide two beers behind the grain bin for me.

I worked at a feed store through high school. I never received a tip and was told by management that if we accepted a tip we would immediately be fired.

Yes, exactly. It makes me feel good to brighten someone's day for doing a good job. It isn't much, it's not going to put them on easy street and it isn't going to break me but it is at least an acknowledgement that I appreciate them and their effort.

I always hit 'em with a tip and I tell 'em here you go, let me buy you guys a cold drink and I thank them.

If they loaded it up, and then loaded it in the truck. Yes, I do and I'm happy to
