I think these guys will be where I go if I cant find anyone local. What did they charge you to run them through their planer?

Thanks again and yeah he is a great guy. I actually bought some wood off him a few years ago and forgot about him. When I drove up I remembered instantly. He will be my wood guy for now on.

I've used him for several projects too.

They planned 3 slabs for me and It was $85. Their planner is 24 inches. I see your slabs are 25 inches. You will have to trim them down a little when you cut off the crotch.

Anyone know where I could get these planed? 2.5 in thick and 25in wide. Will have to cut the crotch off on these unfortunately to make them more squared. Recommendations on a place with a planner this big is much appreciated.

Anytime in the shop is valuable to me!

It only took 45 minutes to do both sides of two of these slabs.

Good looking slab....is it already dried out? I've been looking at slabs on FB Marketplace, etc. and the problem is they're all green cut. I don't want to have to find a kiln or let the wood dry out for 2 years.

You might try Brazos Forest Products on Great SW Parkway in Grand Prairie.
