    They were coming regardless. It has more to do with everyone wanting a trophy trout, the perception that it is less crowded than Galveston, cheaper property prices and bays that are fairly easy to navigate and fish. All within 1.5 hours of Houston and with some really great facilities.

      I fish when I have folks who want to fish. All tides, all weather, all seasons, all wind directions as long as it is safe. I don't get to pick and chose. What I like is moving water. I don't really care if it's rising or falling, I just want it moving. You can do different things and find fish in different places sometimes depending on which way it is moving, but in general they will eat better if it is moving than if it isn't. There are some spots I will only fish on an incoming and others only on a falling. But overall it doesn't matter near as much which direction to me, just that it isn't sitting still.

          Yea, I agree moving water equals moving fish. I change what areas I fish due to tide, but sometimes the bite is better one way or the other.
