I am using a wrist strap release and I am anchoring my knuckle at the base of my ear every time, left arm is slightly bent and grip is very light. There is no target panic going on I can assure you of that. Could be the bow just needs sighted in (it's been over 2 years) or maybe the draw length is making it do that.

My first thought was you were looking at the target too quickly after the shot. After reading your responses it could be a few different things. I would head to a good shop and let them adjust your draw length, look at your form, and make sure everything is tuned correctly. Might as well have everything on the bow working like it should, then you only have to worry about yourself.Last edited by CEO; 07-24-2020, 06:45 AM.

Yeah, I shot a DL that was too long for several years. I could shoot fine but always just had to just sight in with broadheads only separate from FP (especially at distance). If you only plan to shoot 30 yards you can probably get away with not changing much other than some rest/sight adjustments or shoot mechanicals (another can o worms, i wouldn't on elk personally), but if you really want to fix the issue id start with DL and narrow it down from there.
After DL, grip is a very common problem area for a lot of folks. Shooting bare shafts at 20-30 yards and adjusting form/grip can really show issues. (as long as your arrows spined correctly and your bow is tuned well).

Your pins could have got bumped and just need to be resighted.
Regardless, get your draw length right no matter what.
