    thanks Smart

It's so confusing when they say "this burner needs this part" and then there is no similar part number associated with the hoses and regulators.

After talking with D-Mo I am going to replace my 3" burner with the 5" burner and move it down a little to disperse heat. At $12.99 it should be the most economical fix/replacement and as Dale mentioned it's nice to have some of the edge cool to move stuff off to the side. I guess I'm going to stay with this height now...and build a small cinder block fortress to set it on......

I may go to the larger on eventually...

After using the "big" burner I will never use another small high pressure burner. The big burner heats up oil faster and is not roaring like a jet engine under the pot. The flame on the big burner will be up to a 1/2" tall and steadily cooking turkeys. We deep fry several turkeys a year for our church and the big burner is easier to control oil temp than the small burner.

I bought one of these yesterday..

It has the small 3" burner. I going to replace that with the 5" burner from Academy $11.99 and or a 10" if Glen finds one today at the Propane shop by his house. Then I just need to scrap the legs on this one and add some 1" or angle iron legs to make it taller. Thanks for everyones help...

I can't wait to burn something on this thing and get the wok seasoned.

Bruce and others.....mine made a maiden voyage today after doing a little "fast paced seasoning" yesterday.

I bought the 5" $11.99 lo pressure burner from Academy on D-Mos suggestion and Bruce's direction.... as I was going to Lewisville today anyway. It hooked right up to the 10psi hose and regulator, mounted to my frame and worked like a champ.

I cooked for a few of the neighbors tonight doing steak and chicken lime fajitas....took a little bit to get the right heat but it worked like a champ. The burner worked well with glen's disc size. I don't think I am going to go any bigger as teh heat was pretty even out to about 3"s around giving me a place to put stuff should I need it away from the heat. I did bend the mount down a little to get the burner away from the bottom a little more to spread out the heat.

I need to find some other things to make....

Thanks glen, Jeff Young, Dale, Bruce and the others...your time is much appreciated.
