Which camera is best? It appears as if the Covert is similar to the HCO series and is identical to the new Bushnell. I'm leaning toward the Scoutguard, but the Covert has very good ratings as well. Any thoughts?

And I do believe they are all about the same price correct? I'm also looking at getting a couple of these cameras in the next couple of months and would love any input. I might buy one of each and see which one works the best... -
The covert II is more, you can not go wrong with the original scoutguard or the covert that looks exactly the same. The covert II is small but more like a box, it is the same shape as the bushnell which isnt out, yet.Comment

The SG and Covert are basically the same camera. I am a dealer for SG and they are telling me the HCO 30, 50 & 80 are back ordered for product line improvement. The HCO series looks an awful a lot like the new Bushnell I saw in another thread. You may want to wait until early summer as I have a feeling that a lot of new camera technology (and price points) is going to be introduced by Bushnell, SG and Covert.

No the covert II is different, the covert (no II) is the same, the covert II looks just like the bushnell trophy cam, they are all boly cams but with 2 different shapes correct? The SG550V...
is the newest for 2009. At least that's what I've seen on the interent. It appeals to me because of the battery life and the photos look great. The Bushnell is untestedas of yet and I'm not sure what the prce would be.Comment

The HCO series and the covert II differ, yeah they are both rectangular, but the HCO series are not that good compared to the covert II. The HCO series is bigger than the covert II, really they are nothing alikeComment

Buy the scoutguard sg 550 model, or the covert II, they are different models, forget about the hco models, they are no good. I would personally wait a little longer to see what bushnell trophy cam is like or check out the new Recon Viper that is coming out, the viper is 229 retail so about the same, and Recon has always had the best IR pics. Yeah I think there are some issues with the HCO cams, they probably have the same internal cam (the boly cam) but they were out before the scoutguard and think they jumped the gun before they perfected everything. DLC and Hco are different companies? Not sure whats going on there, you have more of an inside since u are dealer. No web site just sell locally. Unfortunately SG ties your hands on the price. The MAP (min advertised $) for the SG550 green is $199.00. Some guys are getting creative with free shipping and throwing in SD cards, etc. All it takes is for someone to report you that you are selling below this to lose your dealer rights. I think Dallasman1030 is a dealer on here too. You may want to PM him if you want to support a fellow TBH'r.Comment
