Absolutely - above ground all day !!!

Grew up with one as a kid and loved it. My Dad built a deck around the above-ground and we had the best family time around it for years. Our house was the go to house for fun.

I was just thinking about this very issue this past Father's Day about how much I didn't appreciate his efforts to provide for us when I was younger.

After the kids left the house and graduated from college, they removed and it looks like it never existed.

    Absolutely go for it.

I can remember to this day - parents bought it at Crown Pools on Garland Road, it was a Doughboy Above Ground. Stood the test of time from approximately 1978 - 1995. Same liner believe it or not.

Temporary waste of money and upkeep is a pain. Metal cow trough.

Put up a 27' round Cornelius a couple months ago. Took 3-4 days to get the water right. Recommendations from local pool people was start up with chlorine, once right convert to saltwater. Have not done that part yet. We have really enjoyed it so far. Went with 150lb sand filter and 1.5hp pump. Installer hard plumbed all piping versus the flimsy hoses.
