I don’t understand the point about complain about any thread, at all Jeff. If you guys don’t like the political section, stay out of it. If you’re on Tapatalk and they all pop up in your thread, don’t click on them. It’s blatantly obvious which ones are political. I just don’t know what all the complaints are about.

Politics causes division. This was once a bow hunting site. It has since become something else. Something else I’m glad to be a part of minus what causes the vast amount of trash talk on this site... Politics!! Life is short and I don’t understand why put out cheese to attract rats? (Semantics. Not calling any individual a rat). So in thinking what’s best for the mods/owner, why not shut it down? Let the rats disperse to their other sources of crap talk. Let’s talk bow hunting like we used to.

Jeff if you truly are here for Bowhunting threads, pace sure isn’t what your problem is. Right now on the first page of ATC, there are exactly 2 count ‘em TWO threads with ANYTHING relating to archery on it right now. Less than half of the membership of TBH even bow hunts. This hasn’t been a bow hunting site for many years. Hell the only dedicated “archery” forum we had was shut down to “force” more archery talk on the ATC forum... How’s that working out for y’all?
If I started a thread about pushing bow fishing for catfish, an ARCHERY related subject, you’d throw a **** hissy fit about that too... just like you did the last time it happened. You really are acting like those nuts on TV. If you ain’t for it, it shouldn’t be allowed. That ain’t right man

Yessir. It was legal for 3 years but the bass fishing lobby and CCA didn’t like it so they lobbied the TPWD omission and got it nixed. Nothing to do with science, just fear that everyday fishermen would discover how much fun it was and in fact how challenging it is there would be a push to allow bow fishing for other game fish (you know, like Louisiana does). The catch n release elitists just couldn’t allow that. So now if you want to Bowfish for catfish, you will have to go to Louisiana.

First of all I don't even sniff the PACE forums, my father taught me pretty young if you want to keep good neighbors don't talk religion or politics with them, everyone has different beliefs and views.

The issue lies ( In which Michael has seen himself therefore the " cool down
period " ) that the PACE forum has bleed over into the other forums... almost all of them. 2 guys get into it on PACE then next thing you know they're into it on ATC... and on and on... which AFFECTS all of us.

We don't care or want to see your PACE drama. Don't remember any other forum being put on a "cool " down period... why? Because for the most part we can act like adults on those forums. Obviously many of those on PACE can't.
PACE has caused a great division on TBH like I've never seen before. And obviously I'm not the only one who's noticed...

Now the bolded is LOL... I think they made the PACE so mods didn't have to police and delete so many threads. They still delete HF, crossbow etc threads all the time.

There has been banter & bickering (some funny / bitter / light hearted / brazen / rude) ever since I joined on a huge variety of topics & it will continue regardless if pace sticks around...you can have divisiveness on almost every subject when varying opinions occurs.

I found this place because of the classifieds via a family member & it was the quality of the members that kept me here & there were some ugly threads to filter through back then too. I agree with Jeff that it has changed with the growth & do miss the participation of certain players who just ghost now, but do understand the loss of 'tightness' of former smaller community.

I can get my politic fix on other sights but don't participate because there isn't the same vibe that I have here...to me, regardless of topic we need to become more self policing. I have no problem with differing opinions & try to understand the other side (regardless of topic) but some just do the drive by troll remarks with no value add. If we would self police it & ping the mods of the inflammatory posts, we could keep the civility better controlled on ALL the sub forums.

Just my honest opinion & thoughts on the matter...happy sunday!!
