Politics causes division. This was once a bow hunting site. It has since become something else. Something else I’m glad to be a part of minus what causes the vast amount of trash talk on this site... Politics!! Life is short and I don’t understand why put out cheese to attract rats? (Semantics. Not calling any individual a rat). So in thinking what’s best for the mods/owner, why not shut it down? Let the rats disperse to their other sources of crap talk. Let’s talk bow hunting like we used to.

But you can ask one of the 50 guys that have hunted my ranch and I bet non have had an issue out here around the real campfire. I'm assuming I'm one of those rats you mentioned. The point is one can talk politics and it does divide us like you think.

Even the racial thing I think most agreed on when you boil it down. It was just 1 or 2 people that insisted certain things and went haywire.

Its too bad deer isn't 12 months long, and that we have to put up with some of the "stuff" that goes on in the current state of this great country and globally, but ignoring them or shutting down the sharing of ideals and information isn't going to make them disappear. While I don't condone personal attacks or bashing someone else for having a differing opinion, I really enjoyed being able to discuss current events and politics with like minded individuals and have a greater confidence in the information I glean from the PACE forum than anything I see from today's biased media outlets. I was very disappointed when I saw that the mods had shut it down, not simply for the fact that it was closed, but that I thought this was a "safe" place where such discussion could be carried on unlike most other public forums these days where a small percentage of participants get butthurt and ruin it for the majority.

To clarify my earlier words...(seems some were upset and think I’m a whiner lol) I’m thinking purely from a moderator stand point. Why would anyone want to spend their time monitoring a bunch of adults bickering? I assume there’s bickering going on since it was shut down because of it (only been on pace one time when some a hole sent me a link.). I sure wouldn’t. Soooo...why not shut it down and let them bicker elsewhere? That’s all I meant. But I assume they like it because they start college football threads all the time.

I agree 100%. We, meaning everyone who uses PACE regularly, know who the bad apples are. As river rat said it is like 1% of the players are ultra liberals with trolling as their only agenda. There are long term members who use PACE and have a different view than me but I do not attack but I will ask for clarification on what they are trying to say.

I like reading and learning. I am only on TBH for social media.

Yessir. It was legal for 3 years but the bass fishing lobby and CCA didn’t like it so they lobbied the TPWD omission and got it nixed. Nothing to do with science, just fear that everyday fishermen would discover how much fun it was and in fact how challenging it is there would be a push to allow bow fishing for other game fish (you know, like Louisiana does). The catch n release elitists just couldn’t allow that. So now if you want to Bowfish for catfish, you will have to go to Louisiana.

Why would that even be a topic...shooting catfish or bass with a bow seems harder than getting a limit w/ rod and reel?? Wanna bet who is quickest & have an illegal tournament??

Not sportsman like?? Croaker soakers & flounder spearing is unethical...lets debate. Maybe croakers & no flounder harvest for two years should be considered.

See how easy it is. You can debate the semantics but it's how you present your side is what causes the flames. It's not pace...it's the post & how you let it affect your passion of the subject. Divisiveness on tbh is not going anywhere.

This is a bow hunting site not a political one keep it gone. I use Tapatalk and it keeps all the political garbage at the top.
