I was reading up on exotics than can be kept on a low fenced property. It seem like the Addax would be the least damaging to a small property and possible the easiest to keep. The article said they get the majority of their water from the vegetation and grasses they eat.
What has been yalls experiences with placing exotics on a small parcel of land? Say 15-20 acres? I know Tony said he had a dozen blackbuck on his six acres. How badly do they affect the resident white tail population? I really don’t know all the questions to ask y’all.
I did read that 4.5 ‘ net wire with tied knots was the minimum you needed to keep black buck and Addax in.
What is the buck to doe ratio you would use? Asking for me and anyone else interested in putting exotics on a small property.
What can you expect to pay per animal? Where can you buy animals in Kerr county?
