Yep. Right bicep and shoulder same time. All curled up at elbow. Good physically but still have a void cosmetically.

Tore mine but at the shoulder. Once he got in there it was o short to stretch back and had to relocate it closer to the front of my arm. He said I could have left it torn, but would have lost approx. 10% of my strength in that arm. I had it reattached, now I can’t throw a ball, rock or anything farther then maybe 15 yards. And this was about four years ago now. I didn’t find the pain that bad, didn’t even take the pills he prescribed.

Ive torn both right and left biceps tendons, labrum and rotator cuff multiple times. Unfortunately had 2 bad wrecks after the 1st one on each. The key is the rehab its not fun but it will pay off in the end for me i am just now getting back to shooting a vertical bow, since i had 2 elbows surgery in the end. For now hopefully no more tears as it will be shoulder replacement for me only 46.

Good luck Asttbe. Hurt like hell when my bicep tendon popped and started to come unzipped from my forearm bone. Ortho put a titanium anchor in forearm bone and stitched tendon to anchor. The healing really sucked due to most of the surgery trauma was in the forearm and not actually in the bicep.

Man you got a titanium screw? This hospital down here just had self tappers or drywall screws.

Yes, my forearm and close to my wrist still ache in certain positions.

Larry I haven't had this problem yet but I just got my shoulder scoped and fixed for tears and bone spurs. If I had waited to much longer I would have had the same thing happen to my bicep except on top of my shoulder. Hopefully your orthopedist will get it fixed up for you good.

Old Sawbones said he fixed many of them but mine was pretty bad, he got pictures of it on his phone.

They numbed my arm right good and it wore off in about a day, only thing about a numb arm is when you go to pizz, it feels like someone else is holding yer peebug.

I never did take them pain pills and I was supposed to wear that sling and brace deal. I wore it for three weeks and threw the stinkin thing in the trash, prolly could have used it for catfish bait. I went back once or twice to the doc and never did go back. I pulled the stitches out my self and did them exercise tricks for a while. I was shooting my bow about 6 weeks after the surgery. It still hurts at times when I twist my arm in certain way, but I slung 30 bags of deer corn, 25 bags of protein and 6 bags of range cubes last Saturday morning. My arm never did hurt but my nuts did.

All joking aside, I am about 85% with it and wished I never did it. My arm wont never be as good as before.

Maybe you should’ve done all the rehab stuff...

A few years ago I had the bicep tear and three rotator cuff tears repaired. Bicep tear was at shoulder. 6 weeks in a sling and no use at all. Then several months of rehab and I was at 100% before the year and hunted with low poundage limbs.

I did in '06. sounded like my shirt ripped and my whole forearm was black. I didn't even go to the doctor and had full recovery i about 6 months. It still looks a little different than the other bicep but works fine and doesn't hurt. I wish I could say that for some other injuries I've had.

Maybe you should just stick with Missionary for the time being.

(I’m sorry. That was just the first thing that popped into my head.)

Tore mine last year at the left elbow (distal tear I think they call it.) The weekend after the opening of bow season..., so it ruined my season. it’s Just now getting better post op, rehab, and weights. Guys at work ask me how my arm is. I tell em, “It’s not 100% where it was before I tore it, but prolly as strong as a normal man’s arm, like yourself...”
Good luck, get your surgery and rehab scheduled ASAP, as others have said.

Wishing you well. Did you really need the surgery? After two months your arm should've been getting better with a lot less pain? My arm is near 100% and I'm glad I didn't go under the knife.

Follow up is Wednesday for results but the doc said on Wednesday hes 90% sure its torn. Or i have a large case of Pussitus so we shall see
Well.... I was unfortunately unlucky and it wasn't torn. I have early onset degeneration in a portion of my bicep that will be with me the rest of my life by the sounds of it and causing tendinosis.

He suggested either surgery or a PRP injection (pushed for the PRP because of my age) and I opted for the PRP injection. The injection was absolutely miserable but I started PT the first week of this month and have another 30-45 days of it to see how it heals.

Good luck with your recovery sir
