Brisket - PSA

I overheard the HEB meat market guy saying they will not have any brisket at any location for a while. He was acting like it may be months before they stock them again.

HEB also had just put up limit signs on all meats.

Maybe this is old news but it caught me off guard.

Midway bar b que in Katy raised their brisket prices 65% today.

Most beef and pork supplies will be dwindling everywhere due the meat packing plants shut down due to the virus...........

I went to HEB Sunday with the intent of getting some pork butts to smoke but they were out. They barely had any ribs either and only 3 briskets, all prime. I grabbed one.

I went back yesterday for a couple of quick things and there were no briskets but they were loaded with pork butts so I grabbed one.

Guess I’ll be bbqing for Mothers Day.

Albertsons was limiting the steaks and ribs to 1 package but they were on sale. Hopefully limiting the amounts will prevent the panic hoarding rush, if not then lots of free fish in my future.....
