Guilty of ammo gluttony here Gary. [emoji1303]
I like to think of it as almost enough.

I recently bought 2 Walthers Creed pistols for $269 each for my daughters. Looked back the day after and they were $296. Looked at all the other guns and they had been marked up price wise too.
Thats the way it goes I guess.
I never liked CTD any way and have never bought anything from them.
I bought (in stock)1000 rds of 9mm three weeks ago. Got an email today saying that the manufacturer was back logged and they would let me know when it would be avaliable. I cancelled it.
That makes me madder than price gouging. If say you have it, then have it. If not then advertise that.

I recently purchased some .22 ammo from Bass Pro Shops that was listed as "in stock". They took my money and are continuing to delay my order due to back orders. Many others seem to be having this problem. This is far more upsetting to me than what cheaper than dirt is doing. Now I have to call Bass Pro for a refund.
As I agree with your logic. It is the same thing buying tools from Tool Mart, northern tool or Home Depot. They will sell anything online. But if I need it I can go to Grainger and pick it up today knowing I am definitely paying more. But there comes a point when it is gouging. CTD sux and has since the 2008 inflated prices. Not sure if it is gouging but definitely not customer driven.

I don’t understand all the grief about them. I’ve never bought anything from them. We all claim to be free market, pure bred Texas guys on here and then folks get their panties in a wad when supply and demand rears it’s head.
I don’t give 2 sheets about CTD......but they have stock....if you are willing to pay the price. They don’t owe you anything, same as my business doesn’t owe you anything either. They wouldn’t assign a price to something that they didn’t think they could get.
If someone will pay $10.00 for a dozen eggs, guess what, those eggs are worth $10.00/dz. It doesn’t matter what you paid last week. I would never pay $800 for a can of 223 ammo....because I bought a sheet load when it was $285....lack of preparation on your part doesn’t let you set the rules for my business and the assets I own. You don’t have to buy from me.....but if I’m the only one with the product you need/want bad enough I bet you will...
Isn’t the free market great ?

The Free Market is awesome and I am totally for it.
But more is expected from the PRO 2A community.
In times of crisis...Companies that do good things for buyers will be remembered for it and that will benefit them in the future.
Don't you have a special place in your heart for your friend who helped get you out of a ditch in the rain at 3am?
