Crawfish Prices too High

Our annual after-Easter church crawfish boil was canceled so I've got a hankering for some bugs. Weekly Ad at Fiesta, usually the cheapest in DFW, has a sack of crawfish for $2.79/lb. I'm surprised they aren't cheaper. Gotta believe the supply is far outrunning demand. What are y'all seeing?

I'd be happy if I could find crawfish for $2.79/lb. They've been $3.50+ in my area for the last couple of years. But that's just getting them at HEB because that's the only option we have.

Kenner Seafood has it for $2.10lb and will ship to the nearest airport (additional fee) but is still cheaper than anyone I've seen in DFW area.

Kaleb's Crawfish. Quality is great! Weekends only. Also every now and then Busters Crawfish will do 50$ sacks.

Prices in Lafayette, LA are running about $55 a sack (30-35lbs) of medium to large mixes. The demand is high here in Louisiana. Everybody is boiling!

No, $1.00/lb deposit IF you pre-order the day before. Then you pay the remaining $.49/pound when you pick up.
