Just take a steel brush or coarse brush to it to remove burnt hair.

50/50 mix of vinegar and water in a pump up sprayer.

Never seen a flea on hogs or deer. Ticks on both but no fleas, Id leave a hog where it lays if it had fleas

Yea, I was thinking pear burner. I have killed quite a few coyotes in the past 20 years or so, everyone of them has been covered in flee, very thick with flees, even when it's down in the 20s for days. Obviously those thick winter coats keep those flees nice a warm. I have wondered how to get rid of the flees, on the coyotes. I wound up tossing everyone of the hides because of the flees. On a hog which I would not be worried about the hide/fur, I would be very quick to use a pear burner and listen to those little things pop and sizzle.
