2020 catfish thread

We’ve been catching some decent ones off jug lines in Lake Houston. Most of them are at 6-7’ on perch or Shad. Any tips for hooking bigger fish I’m all all ears.

Went for a quick kayak trip today on Conroe. I think this cooler weather has kept the cats off the bulkheads and in deeper water. Caught one on a 6ft jug and one on the bottom while drifting 15 - 8ft of water.

Caught these yesterday at Lake Livingston. 6-8 foot of water. Great day of fishing.

Ya'll are killing me!!
I'm usually running limb lines every chance I get this time of year.
Corona has me busier than I've ever been, and haven't had a single chance to even think about fishing.
I'm not complaining but dammit boy, spring only comes through once a yr.

Fishing trot lines with mud cat and 13o circle hooks. River was up about 3 feet so we ran lines at the edge of the normal bank drop off.

2020 catfish thread

The river dropped 2-5 ft last night so we pulled out today. Still managed 8 blues and one yellow. Biggest blue was 22 pounds.
