Ford screen not working

Unfortunately I think it might be fairly common. I’ve got a 2013 with no issues yet other than when I hit the volume up or down button on the steering wheel it will change the station. But the screen still works. My buddies 2016 had the screen issue you mentioned and he took it to the dealer but can’t remember exactly what he was chargered or if it’s covered.

Got in my truck this morning, and after not working all day yesterday, it works today. If it's going to go out I wish it would just go out.
I asked the dealership to look at it at my last oil change and they gave the "we couldn't get it to do what you're describing" answer.
If it's this common, I wonder if they would just take my word for it and fix it even if it's currently working.

Not a chance! I mean after all we are talking about a car dealership and a FORD car dealership at that!!

When we took my wife’s in it started working again just like you described. The technician told us that they can usually tell if the module is bad by trying to reprogram the module. If it is bad, once reprogrammed he said that most of the time the radio will fail again immediately. May be worth a shot to ask
