No matter who gets to Omaha...if you have kids "TAKE THEM TO THE CWS"....its probably one of the best kid friendly events out there!!!

These rankings are cool and all, but they will flip and flop as teams lose throughout the year. A&M lost to Rice, and it was just one of those unlucky games for the Ags. Their strong balls were "at-em" balls and Rice's chinkers fell. Rice struck the ball well only twice in 9 innings. A&M nearly every inning, but couldn't scratch out a win.

With A&M's pitching this year, provided all stay healthy, they are likely to be there at the end. They are strong on the hill. Scary strong.

The new stadium looks awesome. ULL is down this year but they always play LSU hard. These 2 teams hate one another. This will be the first year they play since tempers flared a few years ago in the regionals. It was not a pretty contest where ULL came out on the short end of the stick and the calls made by the officials the entire series were very questionable.

I thought the Texas schools had high expectations. The Tigers just won a NC in football the year before last and Oscar is already complaining..

LOL......after the way they stunk up the football field last year you would not believe they had come off a National Championship run. As you know, "Football is Life" in south Louisiana.....especially LSU & High Schools!

The old SWC conference has 5 out of the top 13. I wish the ol SWC was still together.

Texas redid their stadium last year. They yanked the old astro tuf in favor of the new field turf this year. The old astro turf was a staple at Texas. The new field turf will help the style of baseball that Texas plays with bunting and truer hops on the infield.

What is so cool about college baseball is the teams/players get to put it on the line in Omaha and earn a championship. No writers of coaches voting in this sport.

That does not always equate to the best team winning the title though. Several years it is the hot team that wins in Omaha. This happened with Texas in 05, Oregon State 06, and Fresno State in 08. I like the fact that it is settled on the field, but the best team does not always win in baseball.

That is so true. Fresno won the national championship last year with 30 losses and Oregon State won the second of their back to back titles in 2007 after finishing 6th in the pac ten. It was a total pity invite to the tournament. They didn't even get in last year for a chance at a 3-peat. All that being said, it is still great to watch because it is so wide open.

Oh, but that's the beauty of it. That's what makes it special. The winner is not always the best equipped, most talented group. Often the winners are the ones who managed to elevate their games when the time was right. It gives every player a realistic hope.
