Yep- the gaucho will stretch, too. I'd advise against it.

Gauchos is like a watch spring as compared with old low carbon wire
It can spring back and bite you, research the stuff that is best for your area , different wire for different weather and location , applications,
        Buy good quality USA made,

Example. Deer gets hung up on gaucho you cut it , it will coil up!
Low carbon wire cut might not be so springy and is easier tie back in

Gaucho is a brand name and you can get 4pt Gaucho and 2 point Guacho.
This. I put up fence about 20 years ago on my place and used Gaucho and Red Brand both. The Gaucho is still galvanized, and the Red Brand is solidly rusted. The Gaucho is pre stretched, the Red Brand required more stretching. The Gaucho is springy and a little harder to string up, for that reason, but I prefer it over anything else I've used.

X2. Put up a lot in my life. Gaucho is tough to put up but it stays tight once its installed. Low carbon will stretch over time. The best thing you can do with soft wire is unroll the whole spool, tie it to a tree and bumper of you truck. Bounce against it a few times and then pull it till it breaks. Put a proper splce in it and then install it. Takes the stretch put it. Gaucho for me.

lol true. We had miles of it on our Llano ranch. Stayed super tight for two decades. We just built another couple thousand ft at the new place. Got it unbelievably tight. I found OK cheaper than red brand. I'm not a huge fan of the little red barbs either.
