Go pass a good time with your ladies here...

Mulate’s is known as the original Cajun restaurant™, famous for preserving and celebrating the food, music and culture found in the small towns and along the bayous of south Louisiana....

I worked a booth at that festival for a few years a long time ago. It’s one heck of a good time.

Your making it sound even better, I might have to make a concerted effort to get my airboat re-worked by then and bring it!

There is a boat launch into Bayou Teche in Downtown Breaux Bridge, just north of the bridge, It is about 15 miles down the Teche to the Evangeline Oak in downtown St. Martinsville. Bridges are generally too low for a T-top
Or Henderson swamp is pretty close
Or Butte La Rose on the Atchafalaya river
The main area of "the Basin" (main Atchafalaya swamp) is east of Breaux Bridge between Butte La Rose and Grosse Tete
Lots of access to "the Basin" at many place around the area.

Self contained camping is available in the back lot right at the festival grounds. Tents up to big RV's and everything in between
If you want power bring a genset
We will be there in our pickup camper.
The small town style parade Sunday morning is a hoot

Most folks try to turn them off in the evening if the weather is tolerable.

Not likely to be sweltering hot the first weekend in May.

But if it is sweltering hot most generators will be going all night.

If you need a place to stay I have a friend that has an Airbnb in downtown Breaux Bridge. The Cottage Downtown. She’s a great host.

Go check out Lake Martin. Lots of swampy looking water and alligators.

Crawfish Town is pretty good eats. Charlie T’s is a great place too. As mentioned.
