The tribute will do same performance @ 55-60 as legacy @ 70.... so the smoother more shoulder friendly argument holds no water and never really did, IF a performance number is the goal to set a standard to

I don't know about that. I owned both, Legacy was smoother, easier draw cycle, solid back wall, accurate, 280fps at 68lbs

Tribute, stiff draw cycle, same 68lbs felt much harder to draw, faster right at 300fps, harder to maintain full draw, not quite as forgiving as the Legacy.

I valued my shoulders, sold it pretty quick.(Tribute)

In all honesty, if I can get away from messing with these bowtec, bowboys. I owned a bowtec way back, a Tribute. Bowtec makes a good product Im sure, but the ones I tried, they were very stiff, not a smooth draw like a Mathews. A friend of mine was a bowtec boy, now he cant bowhunt anymore due to shoulder issues.
So just remember, what bow is gonna be easier to draw when its 30degrees and you been static for several hours. A smooth drawing bow is paramount in that situation.

Your 20fps= 10 pounds.... that’s known fact in archery

So you could have shot 58 pounds with BowTech and same speed. And 58 vs 68 would have a different “winner” in the “smooth” category

Well some jack a.. just bought it, the guy text me earlier . I knew I shouldn’t have posted on here before I bought it. So that leaves me with the Mathews legacy BUT I was already decided on the bowtech

If he is asking too much and you want a Legacy, I will sale you the one I have if it fits. 29" draw length, 70lb weight. It needs a rest and sight. Been sitting my closet since I bought. It was a backup that I never hunted with. Pm me if you are interested.

The OP asked about 2 different, specific bows. You had to insert your infinite knowledge and bash Bowtech. You know absolutely nothing about the Assassin, and obviously, your knowledge of the Creed, is lacking. The OP didn’t ask about the Creed. The OP was simply asking for comparisons between a Bowtech Assassin and a Mathews Legacy. I gave him my honest, unbiased opinion based on years of setting up, tuning, and shooting both bows. The Assassin is not a Tribute, and the Legacy is not a Creed.

My offer to you still stands. If you cant find the Bowtec you want I will sale my Legacy to you for 2 bills. If you want pics, pm me your number. Once again it will need a sight and a rest. I have some of both, but don't think you would want any of those.
