The wind was blowing good, but they were swells and not real choppy. Had to watch out for the rogue ones that would face slap you.

It's pretty shallow Les and holds a lot of redfish. Night time, lights and docks - easy numbers but size can be an issue. I think the middle is 4 - 5ft deep? Are you taking the boat?

Yeah, it was blowing pretty good on Saturday. But hey, my biggest trout to date came out of east bay when it was blowing 20+ and the water had 1"-2" of clarity (literally). I must have hit the fish on the head because as soon as the bait hit the water the rod loaded up.

Gold spoon weedless and standard - I'd work the **** outta em!

If the wind treats you right, don't be afraid of trying inside the Copano Bay bridge causeway, along that Southern shoreline. Great area from kayaks and there's a good number of oyster reefs out from the Rockport/Fulton airport fenceline, along that south Copano bay shoreline. If you see sand patches - shallow - cast them for flatties. They will lay up in 1-3ft of water at sunrise along that entire shoreline. Bait swim that shore non-stop. Be expected to catch dozens upon dozens of little speckled trout after sundown. I've gone with a 5wt fly rod just to make it entertaining around the dock lights after sundown.
