I saw two together in Bryson, Texas. This was in the late 1970's. Cool animals and I've never seen another one. These were the red foxes not black.

I believe its called Melanism. I have a picture of a squirrel all black. If I find the picture, I will post it.

We had several Red Foxes on a lease we were on 15 years ago, south of Coleman. Very cool animals.

When I was younger there was a bounty on Red foxes. $75. I saw several when I was in my 10 to 20 year old age range. Have not seen one since. See greys all the time. Be cool if you could get a trail cam of it.

Also, I see alot of people seeing tons of reds, Some may be just seeing a gray fox that has the red hair stripe on them.

Man that is cool. There are a ton of red foxes in our area. Maybe we will get lucky and one of those will show up.

I saw another red fox not far from where I saw the last one. It was putting the sneak on a feral cat until I came along. It ran out in some corn stalks and that stupid cat just sat in the ditch by a patch of weeds. It had no idea the fox was ever even there. I'm guessing after I left that cat probably got killed.
