    On another note....
I am a member of a big high fence place in East Texas and the other fellows are for sure enough trophy hunters. They are hard after the great big ones and don't give a hoot about the smaller ones that the biologist wants taken off or spending the time to clean does.
This is the perfect place for my grandson and I to hunt. We have almost unlimited tags and have some great times killing deer the other folks care nothing about.

Here's my opinion, for what it's worth. No I wouldn't pass up an all expenses paid WT High Fence 200" buck, but I **** sure wouldn't spend my hard earned money on it. Now that being said I do enjoy the big typical 200" deer, high fence or low fence, as long as it's enough acreage to be fair chase.

200” Native deer are still rare no matter the fence situation.

That young man with the lever action is way more exciting to me than some pen shot 200”
          deer.

Your comprehension skills are lacking, I'm not ranting. It was a question. Re-read my OP.

Some of y'all are making this HF vs LF. Was not my intention at all. As I myself hunt both. .

It’s also always bothers me that people are lazy lumping all HF together.

Those of us that have kept it native, and done things the hard way, preserving the natural Genetics are getting thrown into the same bucket as deer releasers.

Luckily that’s shifting more and more as folks get more educated, but man. Getting hate you didn’t earn isn’t much fun.

I ain't gonna lie, if I see a 200+ inch deer when hunting I will shoot at it. I say at it cause I'll probably be shaking too much to hit it.

HF is not hunting. I don't care how big your pen is. It is shooting. Period.

Go hunt 10k+ acres of it and it’ll change your mind.

I wanted my first truly big whitetail to be free range. Unguided. I finally did it. 165” with a bow. On my own.

High fence. Low fence. Doesn’t matter now To each their own. I won’t tell a guy how to spend his money. I ain’t hunting pets unless it’s free! Lol. But I’ll hunt a big high fence place any day without a second thought.

I don't care if their parents were born in a pen.

I don't care if they have a hole in their ear.

I still like low fence deer.

I like sitting at deer camp,
                            sleeping in fancy lodges,
sitting on the bank of a tank,
                            dove hunting,
                            getting up early,
                            seeing the sun rise,
                            watching the sun set,
staying up later than I should,
                            drinking bourbon,
                            drinking beer,
                            chasing quail,
                            catching bass,
napping on the couch between hunts,
                            eating steaks outside,
                            facebooking from a deer stand,
watching a kid kill their first or tenth deer,
                            chasing deer with dogs,
                            trailing deer with dogs,
watching a friend see deer they've never seen,
                            taking wounded veterans hunting,
                            telling big lies,
                            talking ****,
                            sharing deer pictures,
                            guessing scores and age,
                            and hearing other people's stories.

I'm not going to let social media, or what someone else thinks, or what a deer scores ruin what I love.
Well said,I don't know if you wrote that originally but I read it twice. It needs to be put on a plaque.[emoji106]

I follow a guy on Facebook that sells those hunts and post a pic of deer like that almost daily. Ocassionaly he will have someone back out on a hunt and will post a pic of the deer with the price and say "I have a hunt for this deer available tomorrow" Someone will buy it and kill the deer the same day. It's laughable. People are paying 8k plus for a one day hunt.

When I see those deer the only thing that pops in my head is some scientist mixing text tubes.

When I am driving to my lease or property and drive by high fence places I rarely look over towards the fence. When I pass a pipeline or powerline easement on low fence areas I nearly break my neck looking down them
