I fill my feeders in East Texas with nothing but acorns. Big bucks don’t eat that yellow dent.

We are in the same boat as Gar Guy here in McLennan and Bosque, stupid amounts of acorns in most oak trees I have checked.

Been at the lease all day today. Never even looked. If we have any and pretty sure we will, they won’t start falling for another month or so. Besides, if you know how to hunt, akerns are a good thing!!!

Noticed water oaks were loaded north off Sheridan. Didn’t notice any acorns on the live oaks yet but they tend to load up over night if it rains lol. We had absolutely no acorns last year so I expected them this year.

Checked a whole flat of post oaks today in between a bedding ridge and my food plot. Most had none, but 2-3 of the biggest had quiet a few. Few willow oaks in there had a few and a locust tree was full of beans. Will be worth monitoring

Why won't my bucks eat at my feeder?
