    Dewalt Tool Combo Kit

My craftsmen set has seen better days so I am probably gonna pull the trigger on a new set. After looking and comparing prices, brands, batteries, reviews, and weeding out tools that I just don`t need, I think this set will suit my needs very good. Lowes already has their black Friday sale on so it is reduced 48% plus I will get 5% off with my Lowes card. After looking at lots of You Tube reviews, Dewalt is probably the best bang for your buck for a good quality tool...… and it is on sale for almost 1/2 price.

I’ve got all Dewalt stuff, mainly because it would be to expensive to change now.
Milwaukee is good stuff as well.

if you're going to use them all its a great set. I have a few of the tools that come in the combos i rarely use like flashlights etc. im a fan of dewalt and the larger amp 20v batteries you can buy seperate will do some work. the lower amp ones they come with are still pretty solid.

I have been looking and researching as well. the kit you mentioned. It is not the brushless motors & I am wondering for a DIY'er, does it matter?

The reviews I have seen on the 6 1/2 circular saw have not been real good.

I am thinking bout just getting the drill/driver & impact tool kit and adding the saws later. getting the bigger 7 1/4 one.

I would get the brushless version of the kit. Battery life is better and they made the tools a little stronger.

I`m in the same boat. I bought some Dewalt stuff last year and have the batteries already. Plus I am probably going to get a brad nailer and the Dewalt is on sale at Home Depot at a good price. Milwaukee tools are great and the brushless Dewalts are better as well, but I cannot justify spending the extra $$ unless I used them every day.

Here is something my company is running through December. I’ve pieced together large collection with all the tools I actually want.

OP. I got the XR brushless kit, less the grinder, two months ago. Very happy with it so far. And still on my first battery charge with both the drill and the circular saw~! Mine came with two 5 Ahr batteries.

                  Edit.

FYI, what ever you decide, I would take into consideration other tools you may decide to acquire. Such as the weed eater, hedge trimmers and other yard tools offered by the manufacturer you choose and what batteries they use. I switched to battery operated yard equipment this year and LOVE them.

What brand did you go With? I'm looking into a new set of tools along with blower and weed eater possible a chainsaw.
And is brushless worth the extra cash? Sorry OP not trying to hijack your thread.

Work gave us the 20v dewalt with the brushless lithium XR batteries. hammer drill and impact. Dewalt wouldn’t have been my personal preference if I was purchasing. but they aren’t bad tools by any means. Since I had 4 batteries already. Decided to get the weed eater and hedge trimmers. and they have performed well. And I got more batteries out of the deal also.

We use 20v brushless Dewalt at my fence company daily and love them. Impacts, drills, jig saw, recip saws, circular saws and deep band saws. They work very well
