They are the State’s deer until they do 10k damage to your truck. [emoji15][emoji51]

My neighbor just had a nice buck come through. He thinks it winded him

I made every effort to recover him, I would think that’s pretty clear by now, but maybe I assume too much from some here. Feds, state, landowner—all involved. I spent nearly 5 hours on my hands and knees looking for blood. I now have further evidence that the deer is fine.

In the unlikely event that I 1) kill a buck today, and then 2) landowner finds previous buck (not going to happen now), what do YOU think the legal & moral thing to do is? It’s pretty clear to me.

I hope this response pleases the court. I think this issue is closed. If anyone has further hypothetical questions about whether I’m going to follow the law, please feel free to PM me I guess.

          Anybody seeing anything any movement?
This is why I never do live hunts. To many people who want to be internet police.
You did more than most would have to find the deer. I know how bad I would feel without everyone pointing out the what haves and could haves. Hope you kill something great and make a great shot.

[QUOTE=Ruttin&Struttin;14564363]And now some new guy has decided to move in and sit on the ground 30 yards from me........[/QUOTE

That’s public hunting for ya....I’ve been up in a tree on Grapevine Lake Corp. and hear a bunch of guys crushing through the woods shooting their shotguns up in the trees later to find out there were some crazy guys trying to shoot squirrels out of trees. I could write a book about public land hunting encounters

This wind though.....hang on to your trees fellas!

The Grayson county mafia is a real thing. Got buddies up there and have been told it really does exist. People all up in your business all the time. Telling you what deer you can and cannot shoot. That’s all you are seeing here.

Afternoon roll call! Who’s sticking with it till the buzzer?

I’m considering a ground assault for this evening. Load my stand & steps up in a bit.

I see a good downwind, in-range spot to conceal myself from whatever pokes it’s head out this evening. I think I can pull it off in these high winds, got my leafy suit on

I’m still here. Pulled my stand at 11:00. Back at it on the ground, backed up in a cedar tree watching a trail about 75yds from where my tree stand was. Had deer traveling on this trail every morning and evening. Hope they do it one more time.
