UTV and driving on road.. rules question

The local sheriff made me put on a orange triangle on back screen and also a triangle orange flag on 8ft pole. I drive 3 miles between my properties and never get bothered anymore. The law allows this if you are a farmer or rancher. Better have a bag of cubes in the back if your not the land owner, so you can say you going to check the cows.

This has worked for me as well. I kept a fence post and bale of wire in back.

Not legal unless a lot of red tape is cut. "Road" is fence line to fence line, so even driving down the edge of the ditch is illegal. The GW has given tickets, the local sheriff has said that there is a small gray area and as long as we are driving slow and not rutting up anything some leeway would be given.
