And if it had been caught then what would have happened to the runner that was on first?

Ill let you look back at the result of Altuve's at bat while Springer was on second base.....
Not to mention if he's on 3rd he will limit the pitcher on whether or not he dares throw a breaking ball in the dirt. Past ball scores a runner on 3rd. No way he shouldn't have run out of the box like he stole something.

              I do, I do

After him being all over Judge in the last series, to now all over the Nationals, with nothing positive to say for the Astros, I'm done with him. Thinking I might stream the radio broadcast while the TV is on mute tonight.

I will say, it was very rewarding hearing him sound so deflated when Altuve launched that ball to walk it off against the Yankees.

                Thirds times a charm?!?

Or maybe in this case, 3 strikes and you're out? lol

They lost game 1 of the World Series against one of the 4 best pitchers on the planet...and you don't think they tried hard enough?

You guys are making yourselves look foolish.

Watch the play again, even if George was busting it out of the box, he would have run over the rookie, who tagged up at 2nd for no reason, before they got to the 3rd baseman (that's an out for you part timers).

I don't even like the stros, you dudes need to get a grip.

It doesn't matter who's pitching if you lose, the outcome is the same, 0-1. You have to focus on and be successful at the process of the game, only then the outcome will more than likely turn in your favor. Jogging/celebrating during the world series on a ball that hits off the wall is not completing the process to the best of your ability, which in this case likely cost the Astros a run.

There have been numerous instances of players doing the same thing Springer did last night throughout the playoffs this year. The "playoff baseballs" are not flying as far as the regular season baseballs because they're producing more drag, so players that hit long fly balls that were over the fence in the regular season are reacting the same way they did then. As a result, they're not sprinting out of the box. I'm not saying what Springer did was right or wrong, I'm just offering a possible explanation..

If you’re going to accuse Alex Bregman, who I despise, and Jose Altuve, of not putting forth enough effort to win a World Series freaking series game... it absolutely does matter!

Springer made a bonehead move, but the rookie on the bases in front of him screwed up his chance to get to third anyway. Without looking I would guess that is the winningest baseball team on the planet over the last three or four years, I think they’ve earned a little more than to be accused of not trying.

                            Absolutely absurd…
