I am a huge Bregman fan. Been following him since he committed to LSU. Kid is as cocky as they come though......
I thought his bat carry last night was pretty bad.
The thing that sticks out to me though is, never once I have heard a teammate or former teammate say anything bad about him. They all seem to love him. I am sure opposing fans hate him and he is "ok" with that. The thing I have heard time and time again is "I have never met a person who loves baseball more then Alex Bregman".
He did apologize after the game for the bat carry. At the end of the day, it is a 25 year old kid on the biggest stage that his profession has to offer and he is playing well. Hinch may tell him to tone it down a bit but he is an incredible talent and I am pumped the Astros locked him up when they did for the terms that they did. He is going to be good for a very long time.

Not stirring up anything, just an honest question. I feel like a lot of Rangers fans love Odor and everyone else dislikes him. Not right or wrong, but I kind of see Bregman in the same light, just a lot more talented.

I would take him over Soto Everytime...
They can both flat out play, they are both ****heads... I think Soto's size and plate approach will serve him better in the end.

I agree he's got skill. Like you said Hinch needs to tell him to tone it down a little bit. I love all the stuff in the dugout. It's the on field that gets me.

He's as far inside their heads as he is on top of the plate. At least Greinke had the stones to stand him up.

IMO, when trying to close out a series ( a World freakin series!!) you don't need to give the team any extra motivation to beat you.... Bregman's first inning antics surely didnt help. Momentum is a hard thing to gauge... if you take those same actions and you apply them to a close game in the 7th inning, and those actions may be the bump to get the game over the hump in your favor.... in the first inning, it can also set the tone.. unfortunately last night, it provided some steam, but the impact of the "offense" was greater than the benefit of it.

To answer your question, no I wouldn't like him if he played for the Rangers...but I'm obviously not gonna root against my team...I'd just have to live with it. I also realize a lot of these guys are libtards...just keep your mouth shut and play ball, and we're all cool...
I loved Odor from the beginning because he played the game 110mph with his hair on fire. Then he knocked out the player I've always hated the most in the game. I ABSOLUTELY understand why others hate him for the way he can show off...but he's always been accountable and ready to be thrown at, or get down with anyone who wanted take issue. He's really souring on me now that he can't hit his weight, though.

Dude was rendered useless until he got comfortable again last night. What maybe 1-10 in Washington with nothing but a walk after that AB.
