Y’all worrying about one play that made no difference given the Astros utter lack of want-to tonight. Better say a lot prayers for tomorrow.

Looked to me like the runner had every right to be where he was. I remember one of those calls in the past where they cited something like the runner had the right to the basepath as long as he "kept a continuous course" or "maintained his original course" or somesuch, as long as he didn't leave his path. I can't remember, was just curious. Didn't matter anyway.

That’s a great line up. Greinke has been awesome as of late.

Honestly I don’t think it matters.

It’s going to come down to our bats showing up and knocking their guys out of the game.

I believe what the ump saw was the runner running inside the base path most of the way obstructing the throw and when the glove came off he called it. The runner knew exactly where he was why he was running there. Judgement call. There is no base line between 1st and 2nd or 2nd and 3rd. The base line is not established until a play is made on the runner, then the base path becomes the straightest line to the base the runner is proceeding too. A guy leading off 1st could walk all the way to right field if he wanted to but as soon as there is a play made to get him out he has to take a direct line to a base.

Dale that doesn't apply down the first baseline. He has to be in the runners lane in foul territory. Pretty much a no call unless there is a throw coming in from the short left side or there is contact with the first baseman attempting to make a catch. In this case there was both.

Everybody down on the Astros must have already forgotten how quickly the can turn things around. Just hope the good guys show up tomorrow. Grienke looked pretty relaxed.

Y'all come watch the game with me in Canada. No Joe Buck on the broadcast here!

On the other bases, the runner establishes the baseline, but he cannot deviate from it outside of the width of his arms, or somesuch. In the first base line I thought he could go inside as long as he did not go all the way inside the line, or deviate in order to intitiate contact..but that goes back to that call I saw earlier this year, and I'm not sure I heard that one right either.

Por favor, please explain how the Nat’s pitching is set up way better than ours.

I’m not at ease with a game 7 winner take all either, but no one should be.

I am shocked at how bad JV has been this post season....
Equally shocked that we can't score more than 2 runs for him..ever....
Also shocked that we keep pushing to Soto....how he hasn't got an ear full of baseball yet is beyond me....he is way too comfortable at the plate....

                    Joe Buck sucks !!!!!

                    Tonight sucked....

                    Greinke
                    Cole
                    Urquidy
                    Harris
                    Osuna

                    FINISH IT

His left foot was on the grass all the way until he ran out of grass. He “should be” in the 45’ box right of the base line and yes he is required to run there. Ump came from behind the plate and watched him run the whole way inside the base line. Being inside the baseline if the pitcher hits him with the ball he would be out. Glove doesn’t come off he probably doesn’t call it. The runner did exactly what he’s been taught since was 12, natural reaction is to throw around the runner. We could see the same play 50 times and never see it called again. Personally, I think it was the correct call, the runner was trying to affect the play by making the pitcher make a bad throw.

They have their #1 on 7 days rest taking (minus spasms) the mound...? How in the world does that not set their pitching up better lol

Astros got roughed up as Verlander continues to struggle in the playoffs... Soto is a cocky arrogant stud.... Hoping for the unthinkable for the stros tonight

0-ferlander has a black cloud over his head when it comes to world series games.

And, if Bregman doesn't get rid of that attitude an opposing pitcher needs to give him a Bob Gibson attitude adjustment. Bob was well known for placing a nice fastball to the rib cage when warranted.

Must have been a choking Rangers pitcher wearing a Verlander uniform.

Soto’s the only reason Bregman hasn’t been smoked
