At my place the deer must have figured out how to survive without eating anything. Cameras on feeders, near oak motts ankle deep in acorns and on trails show nothing at all.
They eat almost constantly. Two major and two minor feeding periods. I have a mature 8 right now that hits my corn pile no less than 20 times in a 25 hour period. Eats a few minutes at a time.
I thought that's all they did besides sleep a bit.
According to the video and other stuff I have seen, deer eat 5 times within a 24 hour period.
Interesting thing is what they eat on the cycle and that it isn't just them going to eat in a food plot each time.
A lot of this is based on deer up north where they don't have corn feeders.
