Did anyone ever kill that deer? I’m curious how he was still alive? That LOOKS like it should have gotten lung... poor penetration and only got 1 lung?

Can’t remember if the guy ever got him. I do remember it was a pass through and pretty good blood trail for 100 yards.

You know I really shouldn’t be as surprised as I am. As a trauma nurse, I’ve seen people brought into the ER with injuries that should have killed them long before they got to the hospital, yet sometimes, somehow, the body compensates. I guess if it got lung but missed major arteries, maybe it’s possible the lungs had time to heal if the blood loss wasn’t huge and filling the lungs up? Who knows...
